Windows: Open the installer and follow the steps. This release is unsigned, so Windows may show an unknown publisher or SmartScreen warning. Your organisation's policy may require administrator approval. Embedded ERP login also requires the Microsoft Edge WebView2 runtime.
macOS: Extract the archive and move Scepter Connect.app to a writable Applications folder, such as ~/Applications. These releases use local ad-hoc signing and are not notarized. macOS may block the first launch; follow your organisation's policy and Apple's guidance for opening apps from unidentified developers. After an update, macOS may ask you to allow access to your existing login Keychain items again.
Linux: Extract the complete scepter-connect folder, then run ./scepter-connect/scepter_connect. Keep the folder in a location owned by your account. GTK 3, libsecret, libjsoncpp, and an unlocked Secret Service/keyring are required.
Android: Requires Android 7.0 (API 24) or later. Download and open the APK. Android may ask you to allow your browser or file manager to install apps from this source, then confirm the installation. For updates, Connect downloads and verifies the new APK and opens Android's installer for you to confirm; Android may also ask you to allow Connect to install apps. Android requires this approval; updates cannot install silently. Keep the app installed to preserve your device registration.
Automatic updates: Connect checks when it starts and every 15 minutes while running. It verifies each release before installing. Desktop installations must be writable; an update waits while you're using the ERP or connecting a workspace. Android asks you to approve the installation. Device registrations stay in your operating system's secure storage.
